Im wondering if it has anything to do with my body secreting something like sweat or whatever.I just went to bed with clean nails and when i woke up, my left hand had dirty nails. How could this happen?
You would be surprised how minute bed fluff and dead skin around the fingers can congeal to cause the problem, usually by sweat, I wouldn't worry unduly.I just went to bed with clean nails and when i woke up, my left hand had dirty nails. How could this happen?
Is it possible that you scratched your body somewhere in your sleep and you didn't shower off before bed, or if you did, not the best shower job ever, and you have dead skin and some dirt there now?
you might be scratching your head or legs at night without knowing it. or your sheets are dirty. its probably nothing serious.

Is it possible to remove my badly damaged finger nails?
2/3 of my finger nails are very badly damaged, beyond repair. Its not a fungal infection so I can't get any cream for it.
Is it possible to have them removed by a doctor or someone at the hospital? Is it possible to remove my badly damaged finger nails?
It's probably possible, but they would most likely try to cure the problem. Is it possible to remove my badly damaged finger nails?
Yes, it is possible, but it's painful.
I had 3 fingernails removed after getting them smashed on a car door. They gerw out in about 3 weeks, to full. You coudl always ask your doctor about it, but yes, it is possible.bebo

How can I get yellow out of my finger nails?
they use to be so white, I do smoke. Just want to get the yellow out. thanks. How can I get yellow out of my finger nails?
Although quitting smoking is the best way, there is also another way! You can buy a fine file/buffer, 4 sided ones are best. Don't use the course grit, it can cause damage. Once a week, you can lightly file the whole nail, and it will take the yellow off. This will also help smooth any ridges you might have on your nails! If you were to wear a clear top coat, the yellow will only affect the polish opposed to the nail. How can I get yellow out of my finger nails?
Well, if you wear a lot of finger nail polish, then cut down on wearing it so much. Also try to quit smoking. Every cigarette takes off 4 minutes of your life, and it makes your nails get yellow. Or you can soak your hands in warm water with Epsom salt stirred in it and use a nail scrubbing brush to scrub your soaked fingers.
sorry, but the nicotine has soaked into the keratin, the only way would be to cover them up with nail varnish, only smoke when youre wearing nail varnish or quit smoking until they grow out, you cant magic the yellow out of your nails anymore than change the colour of your skin, its molecularly binded.
nails and hair are the same material, youve basically and indirectly used permanent dye on your fingernails.
the only way is to stop smoking because your finger nails are now yellow, its caused by all the tar in cigarettes, they are so bad for you. you know cigarettes give you wrinkles making you age faster too. and im sure you dont realize it but your clothes reak of smoke. my mom smokes and everytime she walks into my house im like mom, you smell like you just walked out of a bar, and she seriously cant smell it. even washing your clothes doesnt get the smoke out, just stop smoking theres really no point to it.

Well, i can be a bit artsy when it comes to painting my nails. I love to do cute little flowers, and use gems. But, im getting quite bored with those things... can you girls out there please give me some ideas, tips and tricks for getting adorable nails? And, just so you know, the only colours that i do not own are gold, yellow, and black, so please dont use any of those colours in your ideas. Thanks a bundle:)What are some cute ways i can paint my nails?

I really like that design but you can do it with bright colors for the summer tyme like orange, lime green, hot pink etc.
ohh, there are a few things i love to do. one it, i get a few colours, 3 or 4, and put a little drop of each colour on each fingernail. then, take a toothpick and mix the colours together onto the fingernail, and it looks soo cool. you can add sparkles too, so it looks even better. i also LOVE french manicure, but doing them with diffeent colours, like yellow and pink, blue and white, ect. i also love doing polka dotts, stripes, and other stuff like that. xoxo, megg %26lt;3
i paint everyone of my nails different colours.
or paint them all one colour and then paint the tips a different colour looks nice and ive never seen anybody else do it

Im a guy and i want to get my nails done professionally at a beauty salon. I want a set of acrylic fingernails
I do get pedicures once a month but i have recently been thinking about getting a full set of fingernails. I get my pedicures at the first of each month. I had my last pedicure on sunday and im wearing red nail polish on my toes. Is this weird that i want to have acrylic fingernails?Im a guy and i want to get my nails done professionally at a beauty salon. I want a set of acrylic fingernails
Not really. I have a lot of musician friends that regularly get their nails professionally done. You're just ahead of the curve, others will be doing the same in a few years. Who would have thought 20 years ago that guys would be wearing earrings, talking on phones or styling their hair the way they do now?
Feel free to look and feel as fabulous as you wanna!!! =]Im a guy and i want to get my nails done professionally at a beauty salon. I want a set of acrylic fingernails
Yes it is wierd. Those are for girls.
Lol! If you want to get acrilycs, hey by all means go and get 'em! Im not one to judge... Honestly though, if i were a girl at the salon and i saw you come in and ask for acrilycs, i would think you were a bit off. But, you know what, i would eventually get over it. The decision is all yours. If you want your nails to look pretty, and want them all done, even hardcore girlie acrilycs, go and do it! Dont give a freakin rats butt about what peaople are going to think or say! You are your own person... go and fulfill your most wildest dreams!
Dude! That stuff is for girls.
um, some what yes,
but i think i'd be kind of sexy :D
It's certainly not mainstream for guys to wear their nails long and painted, but hey, you can do what you want - it's a free world!
I know a number of guys that do this regularly. There are even many forums and discussions online about it (just try searching on any combination of the words ';men, guys, painted, nails, polish, nail';. I've even had my toenails painted on occasion (once by my g/f!) and it looks pretty decent if you're careful what color you use (brown, gray, silver, maybe blue or maroon).
I'm not sure why you would want to wear your nails painted. Most gals are not going to be real crazy about it. There are a few open-minded people that will not mind, you may even get a few compliments, but you'll have to endure the looks and negative comments from many others.
My advice if you just want to see how it feels is to go ahead and try it. Most salons will not care as long as you pay them (and don't forget to tip!). Wearing you fingernails long and brightly painted will probably not get you many job offers.
No, it's not that weird. I've heard of guys wanting to get weirder things done.

What type of doctor would I consult about weak nails?
My nails grow very thin - I've tried changing my diet, painting them, and even using the Sally Hansen's nail strengthener, and they still rip off; I wanted to know what sort of doctor would know about how to help me?What type of doctor would I consult about weak nails?
I have always had the same problem and tried everything. There are only 2 things that work super-well (I've worked at 3 different high-end day spas) There is a polish that you apply daily that will work it is called ';staring over'; and it has a greenish tint. You have to be diligent and apply exactly as it says or it will not help. The other thing is pre-natal vitamins. They make you hair and nails both grow stronger and thicker. I used to constantly break and tear nails, and they never seemed to grow. Now I have to cut them weekly because they are so long (and much stronger) People I work with thought I had artificial nails. I'm telling you those are the 2 BEST!! Hope you try it!!What type of doctor would I consult about weak nails?
A dermatologist is the physician of choice for this condition.
I would definately have it checked as thin / brittle nails could be a symptom of other significant conditions.
Take biotin or ';hair skin and nalis'; availablr at any salon. Maybe its a dermatologist.
Take Biotin, it's a supplement and has made a HUGE difference in my nails. Also drink lots of water.
PS The Doctor wouldn't beable to help you anyway. They don't ';get it'; that you can correct some health problems with nutrition!

Nails........?
I just got a full set of acrylic nails on with white tips. I dont want the white tips on anymore. If i use nail polish remover to take off the white tips, will it make my nails come off? cause i dont want it tooNails........?
No the nails WILL NOT come off just from rubbing the polish remover across them. If they are soaked for a period of time in a bowl of polish remover then they will come off. When and if you go back to the nail salon, they will use polish remover to remove your old polish and designs and you will see that the nails don't come off.Nails........?
You can get them off yourself but trust me they are going to hurt. If you want to pay then go to the salon and do it there if not then do them on your own. I have done it before.
How about let the fake nails come off and actually grow your own nails. Stop biting.
non-acetone nail polish remover will not take your nails off, but it might take the shine off. if the white tips were airbrushed or painted on, then this will come off and just use a great topcoat such as clear opi. if the white tips were part of the acrylic, then the white will not come off. your best bet would be to paint your nails over it.
as long as you use NON-acetone nail polish remover you should be OK. But to be on the safe side be gentle and use a kleenex instead of a cotton ball. Also you could always just paint over the tips and if you use and opaque color it won't show through.
try it and see what happens. then try letting your real nails grow. it will be worth it in the end. i was a biter once upon a time and i don;t anymore.
i dont think so/
You can use non-acetone nail polish, but don't soak your nails in it, use a cotton ball to remove it. They will be kind of sticky feeling for a little while. Let it dry, then if they need it buff them to smooth them. You can paint them with color or not, but you need to at least put a clear coat on them to make them shiny again.
If the tips were white to begin with, I would try to paint over them, but you probably need to have them taken off, or have the nail salon paint over them. I would wait until it is time to have them filled in and ask the person filling them in what she/he would recommend.
hmmm it could possilbly
If you use an acetone base nail polish remover it will take off the nail if i where you I would go back to the shop and have them fix it for you it shouldn't cost you very much now if they airbrushed the tip white then polish remover wont take it off. Call your nail shop and ask them.
I would go to the salon and get them to re-paint tehm. Or if you use nail polish remover get the non-acitone that will do the trick!
well i dont think so because the acrylic is the top layer not the polish
non-acetone nail polish remover, found at most stores. will take of the paint but not mess with the glue that holds the nail the the acrylic nail.
