i heard sally hanson is good but has any1 gt ani ideas???
cheers xxxxxNails.........!!!?
Get regular manicures. I had been biting my nails for years and when I began getting manicures about 6 months ago it helped drastically! The polish they use at salons makes your nails feel thicker thus making you not want to bite them.Nails.........!!!?
i have that same problem. i just paint my nails clear so i won't bite them because if i do, it feels like i'm eating nail polish. (yuck) you could also try chewing sugarless gum, it keeps something in your mouth other than your nails. good luck!

Are there ways to make your hair and nails grow faster and longer?
I have had my nails done professionalyl for quite a while and then i got fungus...YUCK! they are very weak and i want them to be strong and healthy again...how??? Also I dye my hair too much and when i go to get myhair cut they always convince me to cut a lot off because its dead hair.....how can i get it to grow faster? Are there ways to make your hair and nails grow faster and longer?
get a hair cut, so that new hair will grow in and you can go to cvs and buy green tea nail grower by sally hansenAre there ways to make your hair and nails grow faster and longer?
eat healthy, give your hair a break for a while, and stop getting your nails done. acrylic nails and all the chemicals that come with them are bad for your nails, and if not done right, can cause fungus underneath.
Avocados are very healthy for both your skin and nails. If you don't like avocados plain, you can always make guacamole, which is very healthy and simple.
i only know about nails there are certain clear nail polishes that are fast growing
a friend of mine used to have fungus (and trust me it aint pretty!! LOL :P:P ) any ways just go to the pharmacy and ask for this spray that removes fungus.....or just read on below...........:::

Nail Fungus - Why Does it Occur? How to Get Rid of Nail Fungus?
Nail fungus occurs when fungi infect nails of hands and feet. This infection is also known as the 'Onychomycosis'. For the fungus to grow and thrive it is necessary to find dark, moist and warm environment. This is why you will find toenails being affected with nail fungus rather than the hand nails. Studies have revealed that there are at least 35 million people in the world who suffer from such infection.
Fungal infections take time and effort to get rid off. There are several methods you can use to get rid of it. However, all remedies will take time. Instead you should try and prevent growth of any type of fungal infection; this can be done by maintaining proper hygiene. Toenails are susceptible because of the environment, it is necessary to use comfortable footwear, so that the feet are properly ventilated and there is less chance for fungus to grow.
If you want to get rid of nail fungus it is necessary to know correct and effective medication. At times there are OTC drugs that can help you. However, when these medicines cannot remove fungus you should try and use more effective medicine, there are several medicines that can affect the fungus directly.
What does nail fungus do to the nails? Nail fungus will make nails weak and chapped. Affected finger and toenails will look darker than they do normally. As the nail fungus becomes older nails will keep on darkening. You will find your nails are becoming thicker and flakier. You will find the hardening begin from nail bed, making it difficult to cut the these and maintain hygiene.
Nail fungus can be particularly irritating when it starts spreading. You will find that once one nail has been affected other nails also start getting affected if no efforts are made to stop and curb the infection. Though nail hardness generally prevents growth of nail fungus, it is not completely successful in stopping it. Our nails have some empty spaces at the sides and between skin and the nail; it will start invading these spaces and eat into keratin that covers the nails.
Fungi are living organisms with an ability to multiply quite fast, therefore you need a targeted medicine for fungal infection. First symptom that your nail has been affected with fungus is the discoloration that occurs immediately. When more and more nails get affected you will find them starting to discolor.
Nail fungus can be killed and controlled when it comes into contact with any solution of acidic nature. Amongst all home therapies it is said that the vinegar therapy and acidophilus beer recipe are the most effective therapies. Vinegar avoids growth of the fungus and at the same time it can kill the fungal infections.
There are over-the-counter drugs which will help you get rid of the fungus, however, there are some time tested and tried natural cures that target the fungus directly and manage to kill and cure it. Complete cure for nail fungus takes about 2-3 weeks depending on how deep the fungus has reached and the stage of the fungal infection.

How can you remove the gel from your nails when you get tips?
after the tip is gone, can you use nail polish remover to get off the excess gel?How can you remove the gel from your nails when you get tips?
No that doesnt really work too well. You either have to get them refilled, get them removed at the salon, or just wait for them to fall off on their own.

Where is a good place to take my rabbit in to get her teeth and nails clipped?
I live in puyallup washington and someone gave me a rabbit.
I have had her for 2 weeks on the 13th and have to take her in to get her teeth and nails clipped. Know a good place? How much would it cost for both together?Where is a good place to take my rabbit in to get her teeth and nails clipped?
Any vet should be able to do both. Not too sure of the cost but shouldn't be too much. Many years since I had the bunny.Teeth and nails will have to be done on a regular basis as they grow constantly. I placed sticks in with mine so that she would have something to chew on. My vet wanted to show me how to clip both the teeth and nails and I said NO THANKS I'll just pay to have it done.Where is a good place to take my rabbit in to get her teeth and nails clipped?
The vets? Or a pet groomer. Or the vet can teach you how to do it then you dont have to spend any more money
A vet could probably do it for you. Her teeth on the other hand you should buy some wood blocks or something for her to chew on and that will file her teeth down.
Unless you don't know how to clip her nails then take her to a vet who knows how.
%26gt;.%26lt; Oooooh dear.
The vet should take care of both of those. And honey--after the vet trip, go straight to the pet store and get tons of rabbit chew toys. I owned a rabbit for 10 yrs and we never had to have his teeth clipped. As long as they have something to chew on, it isn't necessary.
Well I would definately say that the vet would probably be the place to go. As for the price......mostlikely between $50-$70, but I really have no clue. I have never had to do it. I do it my self, I use big nail clippers to clip their nails (don't get too close to their blood line), and I give them a block of wood to chew on. I hope this helps. Good luck!!
If your rabbits teeth grow so much that you have to clip them then they may have something wrong with them. As long as you give them a piece of hard wood to chew on they do not need to have them trimmed unless they have a condition where their teeth grow too fast.
I had a rabbit who's teeth needed to be trimmed every 2 weeks. We had to have her put down because she stopped eating because her teeth hurt too much.
You can trim they nails yourself. Just use a cat or dog nail trimmer. Trim about once a month. it is very east to do. Just do not cut below the bolld vein. If you do it will bleed a little but the rabbit will be okay.

What causes the little white dots on finger nails?
Me and my friends were discussing this on the bus yesterday and they said it was from shuting your fingers in doors, but i know it isn't.
Please help!
I will give 10 points to the person with the best answer! What causes the little white dots on finger nails?
White splotching on the nails in the absence of trauma is indicative of a period of nutrient depletion; specifically sources of keratin.
In matters of traumatic origin, leukonychia (or Leuconychia) is the medical term for white discoloration appearing on nails. It is derived from the Greek words Leuko white and Onyx nail. The most common cause is injury to the base of the nail (the matrix) where the nail is formed. What causes the little white dots on finger nails?
It is damage from something striking your nails. So yes that something could be a door hitting them.
Either lack of calcium or too much calcium, I forget which.
EDIT: Shutting your fingers in a door would probably cause cracked nails or bleeding (possibly also black or bruised nails).
The sex glands become more active around the age of 12, when the monthly cycle starts in girls and semen-(sperms) starts multiplying and maturing in boys. It is like a raw clay brick and requires heat treatment. It is worth noting that semen is not stored anywhere in the body but it becomes syndrome of the body and can be seen as pure white half moon (white dots) in the nails.
What causes the white spots on fingernails? Well, your friends are kind of right and wrong! The spot doesn't have to be from that! It could be from ANY injury involving your WHOLE finger! Hope I helped!
Please help!
