What is the best way to stop bitting my nails?

I HAVE TRIED TO USE OVER THE COUNTER POLISH BUT ALL THAT HAPPENS IS IT GETS ON MY FOOD AND DRINKS FROM MY FINGERS.What is the best way to stop bitting my nails?
well its became a habbit now.

If you go to walmart, they have stop-biting nail polishes that are clear, and they dry very quickly. They won't get into your food or drinks, and they stay on for a while. I've heard that they work like a joy!
Actually im a nail bitter too since i was a kid and im 31 now .. arcylic nails mite work BUT being a nail bitter arcylic nails didnt work for me cuz when u take em off ur nails will be VERY soft and flexible they were bad and i started biting again!! now maybe if u tried the nail polishes the other said and then the arcylic for abit but not to long but find sumthing to do with ur hands to keep them busy cuz its the habit and even tho u have acrylic nails ur hands will still go to ur mouth out of habit but they arent gonna break lol.. good luck..
to break the habit of biting my nails I got artificial nails for a while.
There is actually a polish that tastes like garlic. It's not stinky,but apparently when you put your mouth on it,you won't like the taste and neither will your tongue hehe.


Or try instead of biting your nails you can keep a pop or gum on hand at all times,start using this to ween you away from the nail biting. It's really just a nervous tick you can get over it. Keep gum with you or a pop or something to this extent and if you start reaching to bite your nails,quickly pop a piece of gum in your mouth or just grap a pop to suck on.

Zoey is right on. As she said, if you get artificial nails, trust me, you will stop biting your nails. They are too hard to bite through!
